All Alola Pokemon in Pokemon GO

All Alola Pokemon in Pokemon GO

We have a complete list of all the Alola Pokemon in Pokemon GO
This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

The new Welcome to Alola event, and by extension the new Season of Alola, are in full swing in Pokemon GO. While several Alolan variants of existing Pokemon have been in the Pokemon GO Pokedex for a while, this new season marks the Pokemon GO debut of multiple Alolan Pokemon that were not in the game previously. More Pokemon in the Dex means more Pokemon for you to catch and trade, and it’s always a good time for catching and trading Pokemon. If you’d like a list of what to be on the lookout for, then here are all of the Alola Pokemon in Pokemon GO.

Eight Pokemon from the Alola region have been added to Pokemon GO. Factoring in those Pokemons’ respective evolutions, that’s 21 new Pokemon in all to catch and catalog, one of which even has two forms, though we’ll get to that in a moment. Currently, all of the base forms of these Pokemon can be found in the wild, with their spawn rates boosted for the duration of the Welcome to Alola event, so this will probably be your best opportunity for a little while to catch all of them.

The new Alola Pokemon that have been added to Pokemon GO, plus their evolutions, are as follows:

  • Rowlett
  • Dartrix
  • Decidueye
  • Litten
  • Torracat
  • Incineroar
  • Popplio
  • Brionne
  • Primarina
  • Pikipek
  • Trumbeak
  • Toucannon
  • Yungoos
  • Gumshoos
  • Comfey
  • Jangmo-o
  • Hakamo-o
  • Kommo-o
  • Rockruff
  • Lycanroc (Midday Form)
  • Lycanroc (Midnight Form)
  • Tapu Koko

One important thing to note, Comfey can only be caught by players living in the Hawaiian islands. Hey, Alola is inspired by Hawaii, so it’s only fair they get something special.

All Shiny Alola Pokemon in Pokemon GO

Additionally, I’m sure you’re wondering if any of these new Pokemon have the potential to be shiny. Normally, the answer would be no, as Niantic doesn’t usually add shiny variants of Pokemon until well after they’re first added to the Pokedex, but surprisingly, there are a handful of new additions that arrived with their shiny forms this time around. The new Pokemon that have had shiny variants added to the Pokemon GO Pokedex are:

  • Yungoos
  • Gumshoos
  • Rockruff
  • Lycanroc (Midday Form)
  • Lycanroc (Midnight Form)

Yungoos and Rockruff currently have a chance to spawn as shinies when they appear in the wild or during Raids, respectively, so given their currently boosted spawn rates, this is an excellent time to go shiny hunting!
