Pokemon GO A Melemele Adventure Special Research Tasks and Rewards

Melemele Island is the island that players start their Pokemon adventure on in Pokemon Sun and Moon. It’s fitting, then, that its name be utilized to kick off Pokemon GO’s new Season of Alola, as well as the Welcome to Alola event. It’s an island of beginnings, which means an adventure in its image is a great way to start the new season off with a bang, especially when there’s Special Research involved. Here are the Tasks and rewards for Pokemon GO’s “A Melemele Adventure” Special Research.

As part of the new Season of Alola, various Pokemon that originate in the Alola region have begun appearing in Pokemon GO. While the Tasks of the “A Melemele Adventure” Special Research are all of the usual stuff, the rewards you earn are themed primarily around these Pokemon, so it’s a great way to give your new Alolan collection a little juice and earn some neat stuff in the process.

Pokemon GO A Melemele Adventure Special Research Tasks and Rewards

“A Melemele Adventure” offers four pages worth of Research Tasks, with three tasks per page. Completing each task will net you rewards like items and encounters, and completing an entire page will give you some big bonuses. 

The tasks and their rewards are as follows:

Page One

• Catch any 10 Pokemon. Rewards an Alolan Ratata encounter.
• Send three Gifts to anyone on your Friends list, with a sticker attached to each. Rewards 10 Poke Balls.
• Catch any five Normal type Pokemon. Rewards a Yungoos encounter.
• Complete all of the Page One tasks. Rewards 10 Pinap Berries, 500 XP, and 500 Stardust.

Page Two

• Take a snapshot of any wild Pokemon. Rewards five Razz Berries.
• Use any seven berries to help you catch wild Pokemon. Rewards 10 Great Balls.
• Catch any 10 Pokemon. Rewards a Pikipek encounter.
• Complete all of the Page Two tasks. Rewards a Charged TM, 500 XP, and 500 Stardust.

Page Three

• Catch any six Normal type Pokemon. Rewards a Yungoos encounter.
• Catch three different species of Normal type Pokemon. Rewards a Yungoos encounter.
• Spin the signs on any five PokeStops or Gyms. Rewards a Party Hat Raticate encounter.
• Complete all of the Page Three tasks. Rewards a Premium Battle Pass, 1,000 XP, and 1,000 Stardust.

Page Four

• Send five Gifts to anyone on your Friends list. Rewards 10 Great Balls.
• Catch any 12 Pokemon. Rewards 7 Pinap Berries.
• Win any Raid. Rewards an Alolan Meowth encounter.
• Complete all of the Page Four tasks. Rewards 15 Ultra Balls, 8,000 XP, and 3,000 Stardust.
