The Relics of the Old Faith update added tons of new content to the game, including new allies, new enemies, and new items. One of the most valuable new items added to the game is the God Tears, which can be used to purchase otherworldly powerful items for you and your cult. In this article, we explore various strategies to help you acquire more God Tears in Cult of the Lamb, enabling you to unlock your cult’s true potential!

How to Get More God Tears in Cult of the Lamb

God Tears are valuable items that can be given to ??? (that’s literally their name) in exchange for rewards unavailable anywhere else in the game. If you want your cult to reach its full potential, you need to get your hands on as many God Tears as possible! Thankfully, there are more than a few methods to do exactly that in Cult of the Lamb.

Here are all the ways that you can get more God Tears in Cult of the Lamb:

  • Defeat mini-bosses and Bishops
    • Once you beat the game, ??? asks you to go back and re-kill all the Bishops. Of course, this means you need to re-kill all the mini-bosses that came before each of them. Thankfully, however, you are rewarded with God Tears after every successful kill!
    • Mini-bosses grant you one God Tear each, while Bishops grant you a whopping 3 God Tears!
  • Explore Purgatory
    • Purgatory is a new area that was added to Cult of the Lamb in the Relics of the Old Faith update. Players can choose to enter Purgatory once daily, where they get to collect God Tear Fragments. Once enough Fragments have been collected, they can be turned into full God Tears.
  • Collect Divine Inspiration
    • Once all of your cult’s buildings and upgrades have been unlocked, you can trade Divine Inspiration in for God Tears instead!

All God Tear Rewards in Cult of the Lamb

As mentioned previously, God Tears can be exchanged for incredibly valuable items for you and your cult. These items can’t be found anywhere else in the game, so your number-one priority should be collecting as many God Tears as you can!

Once you hand over your God Tear to ???, they spin a “wheel of rewards” to see what you get in exchange for your Tear. Here are all the possible rewards for God Tears in Cult of the Lamb:

  • Forgotten Commandment Stone
    • Forgotten Commandment Stones are used to declare previously unchosen doctrines for your cult to follow.
  • New Follower Forms
    • There are many follower forms that you can get from ???, with many of them being DLC and Special Event forms.
  • Holy Talisman Fragment
    • ??? gives you up to 12 fragments, meaning you can make 3 full Holy Talismans and unlock 3 more Fleeces for your lamb!
  • Necklaces
    • You can get up to 6 necklaces from ???, 2 of which they only give you once:
      • Missionary Necklace
      • Gold Skull Necklace
      • Demonic Necklace
      • Loyalty Necklace
      • Light Necklace
        • This necklace can only be received once.
