In this game, players assume the role of a cult leader who tends to a loyal flock of followers. The ultimate goal is to grow, guide, and protect your followers in a world fraught with peril, but what if you could help them live forever? In this article, we uncover some new methods to making your followers immortal in Cult of the Lamb!

How to Make Your Followers Live Forever in Cult of the Lamb

The addition of crypts, morgues, and natural burials to Cult of the Lamb has definitely made corpse management a bit easier in the game. However, wouldn’t it be so much better if you never had to worry about dead followers ever again? Well, with the Relics of the Old Faith update, now you can!

The Relics of the Old Faith update added a lot of new and exciting content to the game, with one of the most exciting new items being the Gold Skull Necklaces. Gold Skull Necklaces are extremely rare items that, when gifted to a follower, bestow the Immortal trait onto them. If a follower has the Immortal trait, then they never grow old or die of old age.

So, all you need to do is gift your followers some Gold Skull Necklaces, and they will live forever. However, these necklaces are very hard to come by, and there’s only one way for players to get their hands on them.

How to Get Gold Skull Necklaces in Cult of the Lamb

Gold Skull Necklaces are inarguably some of the most valuable items in the game, so of course, they’re really hard to get. In fact, there’s only one way for players to get Gold Skull Necklaces in Cult of the Lamb: buying them from ??? with a God Tear.

??? is a new character in Cult of the Lamb, and no, I did not forget their name, that’s literally just what they’re called in the game. ??? appears after The One Who Waits has been defeated, and if you bring them a God Tear, they reward you with one of 4 possible items: a Forgotten Commandment Stone, a new follower form, a necklace, or a Holy Talisman Fragment.

There are multiple necklaces that ??? will give you, all of which cannot be found anywhere else in the game: a Dark Necklace, a Light Necklace, a Loyalty Necklace, a Missionary Necklace, a Demonic Necklace, and, of course, a Golden Skull Necklace.

Whether or not you’re rewarded with the Golden Skull Necklace, or, really, any necklace at all, is entirely up to chance. It may take multiple attempts to get your hands on even one Golden Skull Necklace, but even so, it’s still more than worth the effort!

How to Get More God Tears in Cult of the Lamb

If you want to buy tons of Gold Skull Necklaces and make all your followers immortal in Cult of the Lamb, you’re going to need as many God Tears as you can carry. Thankfully, there are multiple ways in which players can get God Tears in Cult of the Lamb.

Here are all the ways in which players can get God Tears:

  • Defeat bosses and mini-bosses
    • Defeating mini-bosses and bosses will grant you 1–3 God Tears each!
  • Collect Divine Inspiration
    • Once all the buildings and upgrades have been unlocked, players can trade Divine Inspiration for God Tears
  • Explore Purgatory
    • Purgatory is a new location that was added in the Relics of the Old Faith update. Players can choose to enter Purgatory once a day, where they get to collect numerous God Tear Fragments. Once enough Fragments have been collected, they can be turned into God Tears!

Collecting Divine Inspiration is one of the best ways to get God Tears in Cult of the Lamb; your followers essentially do all the work for you! All you have to do is sit back, relax, and collect enough Divine Inspiration to trade for a God Tear. It’s almost too easy!

By utilizing all three of these methods in Cult of the Lamb, you will have more God Tears than you know what to do with in no time!
