Ayaka is a highly anticipated Genshin Impact character from the unreleased region of Inazuma. So far, she seems to have quite a few ties to some of the other leaked characters we’ve written about before. These characters include Tohma, Yae Sakura, and Yoimiya. Make sure to read our articles on these characters to learn more! Before you go, though, check out what we’ve gathered on Ayaka!
About Ayaka in Genshin Impact
Information about Ayaka has shown up in more than a few places since Genshin‘s release. To start off, she was supposedly a playable character in one of the early beta tests for the game. It’s obvious MiHoYo has had plans involving Ayaka from the beginning, as she is also one of the characters showcased in the game’s official storyline preview (seen here).
Ayaka has been the focus of many content leaks and rumors, whether it’s about her rumored relationship with Tohma (declared false by many players), her role in the story, or her skill set. While there is a lot of information floating around, not all of it is true. Until Ayaka is officially released, consider all of this speculation.
What we do know, however, is that she is a 5-Star character that plays a large role in Inazuma. Some call her princess of Kamisato House (consider this House as her affiliation, much like the Knights of Favonius is the affiliation of Amber, Lisa, Jean, etc). Unfortunately, we don’t have much more information regarding her role in the story beyond this. If you’re interested in listening to some of her voice lines from the closed beta test mentioned earlier, check out this website.
What is Ayaka’s Weapon Type and Element?
Ayaka commands the battlefield with her sword and Cryo element. According to the official Genshin Impact website, she spends time training with her sword and using her skills to slice snowflakes when it snows.
What are Ayaka’s skills?
Unlike the other leaked characters, Ayaka has more than just a working model. While there’s a possibility that her talents have changed over time, chances are Ayaka still has similar skills to that of her beta test version. According to a recent tweet, she will be a strong damage dealer for the team. Here’s a quick breakdown of her Talents.
Alternative Sprint
Probably the most interesting of her skills, Ayaka’s Alternative Sprint makes her disappear and reappear with a burst of Cryo energy. For those familiar with Mona’s abilities (or even Zhongli and Hu Tao), this will look quite similar. Thus, she is able to safely traverse bodies of water that others would have difficulty with. Elemental Skill
For her Elemental Skill, Ayaka summons a large area of ice that deals Cryo damage and lifts her enemies into the air momentarily. This will definitely be useful for setting killer combos up.
Elemental Burst
Finally, Ayaka’s Elemental Burst echoes that of the Anemo Traveler’s Elemental Burst in that it pushes enemies forward. Instead of Anemo DMG however, Ayaka’s Burst will do massive Cryo DMG.
When is Ayaka’s Release Date?
Yet again, there has been no announcement about Ayaka’s release date. That said, many are anticipating her in Version 1.7 or 1.8, as Version 1.6’s Character Event Wish banners have already been announced (Klee and Kazuha) and Inazuma is bound to make its debut sometime soon. As always, check back here for more information as it comes!
