How to separate Calyrex from Glastrier or Spectrier in Crown Tundra

So you want to separate your Calyrex from Glastrier or Spectrier?

One of the main tasks in Crown Tundra is to combine Calyrex with Glastrier or Spectrier, depending on which steed you choose. Whether you pick the Ice-type or Ghost-type Pokemon, you’ll need to know how to combine and separate them at will. Luckily, this is easy thanks to an in-game item. Here’s how to separate Calyrex from Glastrier or Spectrier in Crown Tundra, Pokemon Sword and Shield’s second expansion.

How to separate Calyrex from Glastrier or Spectrier in Crown Tundra

Open up your bag and look for the Reins of Unity item you got before the Calyrex quest. Select the Reins of Unity and use it on Calyrex while he’s in your group. Calyrex then separates itself from your Glastrier or Spectrier, leaving you with two Pokemon. 

To combine your Calyrex with your Glastrier or Spectrier, you can use the Reins of Unity again, select your Calyrex, and then select your Glastrier or Spectrier.

You can only choose between either Glastrier or Spectrier, and cannot have both at the same time. It is possible to have both if you have two different saves or two copies of the game.
