Dead by Daylight is a thrilling horror survival game where players take on the role of either a killer or one of four survivors. The objective for killers is to stalk and kill all survivors before they can complete their goals and escape. Dead by Daylight Survivors must use stealth and teamwork strategies to evade the killer, repair generators, and ultimately run together.
The game features a variety of horrifying killers, each with its mechanics and terrifying traits. With its intense atmosphere and thrilling gameplay, Dead by Daylight will surely put players on the edge of their seats!
The Trapper
The Trapper is one of the first killers in Dead by Daylight. While he may have some tricks up his sleeve, he suffers from being outdated. The Trapper has an average moving speed and needs something to help his mobility. His need to gather bear traps and set them up is time-consuming and can cost you map pressure. The survivors can spot his bear traps and hit The Trapper himself if he is not careful, meaning he must be strategic when setting them up.
The Trapper is one of the most challenging and rewarding killers, as in Dead by Daylight. His ability to Trap survivors who are not careful can turn a game in his favor, but he must also be careful when setting up traps, as they can easily be spotted and disarmed. Nevertheless, he can become one of the most potent killers in the game with patience and skill.
The Shape
The Shape, otherwise known as Michael Myers from the classic horror movie Halloween, is a killer in Dead by Daylight. Despite being an iconic villain and having frightening abilities, such as Silent Footsteps and Evil Within 3, The Shape ultimately falls short in terms of overall killing prowess. His Power or Perk can sometimes be helpful but takes painstakingly long to build up, making it difficult to use.
Moreover, The Shape’s slow movement speed and short lunge range at level one can be pretty hindering, making it hard to keep up with the survivors if you do not build up your power. As a result, The Shape is considered by many players as one of the weaker killers in the game and is often overlooked when selecting a killer to play.
Overall, The Shape is an exciting addition to the game, but his abilities make him a less viable killer than other characters in Dead by Daylight.
The Clown
The Clown, unfortunately, does not have a lot going for him. The Clown is a weak killer due to his average speed and lack of map pressure. While his pink bottles can help disorient survivors to gain an advantage, you will still need to chase the survivors to deal any real damage.
Moreover, The Clown’s yellow bottles may give you movement speed, but it also affects survivors, so you must be careful when using them. Thus, it is difficult for The Clown to overpower the survivors and efficiently prevent them from completing their objectives. As a result, The Clown is considered one of the weakest killers in Dead by Daylight, and players may have difficulty succeeding with him compared to other more powerful killers.

The Twins
You take on the role of Charlotte, a young woman who lost her twin brother while still in the womb. It may sound like an overpowered Killer mechanic, but controlling Victor can be pretty weak because Survivors easily debilitate him with a few stomps. However, two For One can prove helpful because the killer can benefit from locating survivors and damaging them.
However, when the killer finally makes some progress, the Survivor teams have already completed their last generator, and it’s too late. The Twins is a complex killer that will take a lot of time to master. Due to their complex gameplay, the Twins are one of the weakest Killers in Dead by daylight.
The Nightmare
As terrific as he is, Freddy Krueger aka The Nightmare is, unfortunately, one of the more inefficient killers in Dead by Daylight. Due to the condition that needs to be met for his ability to work. Freddie needs to drag his victims to the dream world for his abilities to work, like Dream snare and dream pallets.
His perks are also relatively lackluster; Dream Demon does not grant additional movement speed. Furthermore, The Nightmare’s abilities have been nerfed to the ground, and he has never been as effective as before. As a result, Freddy Krueger’s gimmicky abilities and lackluster perks make him a poor player choice.
The Pig
Dead By Daylight players know the gut-wrenching terror of encountering The Pig. Representing the Saw franchise, this character brings nightmare fuel to a new level in her infamous reverse-bear traps – but despite being gory and graphic, the character is pretty flawed.
Amanda Young, aka The Pig’s traps, can be placed on survivors’ heads when they enter the dying state. You can remove the trap by searching jigsaw boxes across the map for a key. If not removed in time, it sacrifices survivors instantly. However, the number of attempts it takes to remove the trap could be more consistent. Sometimes it comes off in four tries and sometimes one, which can easily ruin your plans. In addition, the gameplay is more tedious than fun due to her time setting up and her traps’ RNG base escape mechanic.
Ghost Face
One of the killers featured in Dead by Daylight is Ghost Face. While his intimidating design and signature mask make him an iconic figure in horror, he falls short compared to the other killers. His main power involves using stealth to ambush unsuspecting survivors, but this doesn’t always guarantee success. Ghost Face‘s power is a night shroud which makes him undetectable, allowing him to utilize his unique ability as Stalk.
Once the Stalk meter is complete, the survivor he is stalking is exposed, letting him down in one hit. He can also crouch, which makes stalking a little bit easier. However, the ghost’s face can be revealed quickly just by survivors spotting him for a few seconds, disabling his night shroud for a few seconds. And he lacks any ability to pressure the map due to his power’s glaring vulnerability and lack of map pressure. As a result, he just falls short compared to other killers.
