Where to Find Boars in Genshin Impact – Spawn Locations

Boars are full of tasty meat.

It’s pretty much a rule of large-scale games, MMOs especially, that there have to be boars wandering around in the wilderness. Why is it always boars? Because boars are full of tasty meat, that’s why. In a game like Genshin Impact where cooking is a potentially vital gameplay element, you need all of the meat you can get. Here’s where to find boars in Genshin Impact.

Where to Find Boars in Genshin Impact

The majority of wild animals you can hunt in Genshin Impact will drop a single piece of Raw Meat when killed. Boars, however, can drop two pieces at once. Not only that, but they tend to appear in packs, which means you could potentially land yourself a whole bundle of Raw Meat at once.

Boars regularly wander the wilderness of the overworld, particularly in the vicinity of Mondstadt, Springvale, and Liyue. If you just walk around grassy, wooded areas enough, odds are good you’ll stumble onto one to three of them. There are, however, a few spots where they appear more reliably, and often in greater numbers.

  • Springvale Forest
  • Windwail Highland
  • Wolvendom
  • Dawn Winery
  • Brightcrown Canyon

Where Do I Farm Boar Meat Genshin Impact?

One of the best spots to hunt boars is located near Brightcrown Canyon, to the east of Stormterror’s Lair near Mondstat.

If you visit this area, you can find a herd of up to 12 boars! When you’ve finished them all off, just fast-travel to a different region, then return to make them respawn.

One quick note: boars tend to be rather skittish. If you get too close, they’ll run away at high speed, so slower characters like Claymore users aren’t a good choice for hunting. The best hunters are definitely Bow characters like Amber or Fischl, especially if they’ve got some AoE attacks that can wipe the whole herd out at once. If you’re feeling especially crafty, you can set up a Hunting Trap, then run at the boars to spook them into triggering it. Any boar caught in a Hunting Trap will yield a whopping four pieces of Raw Meat.

It’s always beneficial to have a stack of Raw Meat on hand in case you need to whip up a quick stat-boosting dish. Don’t worry, there are plenty of boars to go around, so hunt to your heart’s content.
