The Frostbearing Tree is hard to miss, especially for players first entering the new region. As you make your way across the bridge, continue straight, and follow the wooden path. You’ll come to some giant ice shards that contain an attacking object in the middle.

In Dragonspine, there are nodes called Scarlet Quartz, and they grant you the power to damage ice. You can destroy them with any claymore-wielding character, as you would any other iron or crystal chunk node.

Around the giant ice shards, you’ll find four Scarlet Quartz nodes close by in each direction. You can see three of them in the image below, and the last one is directly south of the tree with some hilichurls guarding it.

Destroy a node, collect the Scarlet Quartz, and some red stuff will follow you around. You’ll be able to attack the giant ice chunk once and take off 25% for each Crimson Quartz you collect. Once you break the ice, the Frostbearing Tree will begin to grow. You can level it up by offering Crimson Agate to it.
