Fortnite‘s Snowmando Operation Snowdown Challenges are now open for business, just in time for the holiday season. If you’ve been playing during your break, you may have already seen the new quests in your game. New challenges release throughout the season, up until the close of the Operation Snowdown Event. One of the challenges is to find a Snow Flopper somewhere on the map. Many players are having trouble with this one, so we wanted to put a guide together for you. Here’s where to catch a Snowy Flopper in Fortnite.
The challenge we’re going over here may be the last one you need to unlock the Snowmando skin. If you’ve been keeping up to date with all the challenges, that is. Anyway, continue on below to see where we caught ourselves one of the festive Snowy Floppers.
Where to Catch a Snowy Flopper in Fortnite
The Snowy Flopper is an exclusive seasonal fish that can be found anywhere on the map. It looks like a snowman got transformed into a fish, with the twig arms, carrot nose, scarf, and everything. While the menu says they are indeed available everywhere, I’ve seemed to have more luck finding them in snow-covered areas.
One of the best areas to find a Snowy Flopper is in the southeast part of the map. Head to the coast to the south and east of the Catty Corner location. There are a few docks along the coastline where you can pick up a fishing rod. Once you’re ready to fish, look for some good spots to cast your line.
You should be able to reel in a Snowy Flopper in no time. Once you catch one, you can use it to cover your feet in ice and go sliding around the map. Follow the green section on the map shown below for some good areas to fish and catch yourself a Snowy Flopper. Once you get one, you’ll get a 10,000 XP reward along with the Toe Pick harvesting tool. The Toe Pick is an uncommon harvesting tool that lets you get an edge on the competition, and it’s part of the Snowdays set.
