Without the presence of E3 this summer, many gaming companies have decided to hold their own events to showcase upcoming games. Ubisoft is one of them. The company plans to bring back its Ubisoft Forward event from last year with a focus on the upcoming Skull and Bones as well as other upcoming games.
This Thursday, Ubisoft will hold an Ubisoft Forward Spotlight which will focus on Skull and Bones. The game was announced in 2017 during Ubisoft’s E3 press conference that year. The game took what people loved the most about Assassin’s Creed 4, pirates, and doubled down on it. There haven’t been many updates since then about the game.Â

What We Know So Far
Ubisoft will highlight Skull and Bones in July. Many thought Skull and Bones would be canceled due to being stuck in development hell but a deal Ubisoft made with the Singapore government means that it must be finished at some point. Several issues plagued the game as Ubisoft Singapore went through many staff changes during development. With the announcement of this event, it would appear that the studio has overcome these issues for now.
In addition to this event, another will be held in September. This event will be an Ubisoft Forward focusing on games from Ubisoft teams worldwide. It is likely that this event will also feature news regarding the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The company said that the franchise’s future would be discussed during an event this September. Unless another event is announced, we’ll hear about the franchise during this event.
