In order to make a strong Stasis build, you will first need to understand how the element of Darkness works. Stasis brough the Aspects and Fragments system into the game, and this power also uses ice to slow down and freeze enemies, shattering them with extreme prejudice. Without any further ado, here is the best build for Stasis in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Class

Choose the Behemoth with Glacial Quake to make full use of this powerful element. Glacial Quake summons a stasis gauntlet which will freeze your targets and then shoot out further Stasis crystals that attempt to freeze more enemies. Using heavy attacks will cause a glacial shockwave, making the Glacial Quake a powerful tool for destroying multiple enemies at once in battle.

Essential Stats

Make sure that you use Tier 10 Intelligence and Tier 10 Resilience if you can in order to get the most bang for your buck when building for Stasis. Make sure that you maximise your stats by masterworking armor and using mods to help further your potential in combat.

Aspects

Both Tectonic Harvest and Howl of the Storm are strong choices for a Stasis build and will certainly give you a boost in battle. Using Tectonic Harvest will create a Stasis shard whenever you shatter a Stasis crystal, and this will give melee energy to either yourself or any ally who happens to pick up the shard. The Howl of the Storm will launch a wave of Stasis energy towards targets, freezing them, and is activated by sliding and using your charged melee ability. This also creates more Stasis crystals as well, which heavily benefits you.

Fragments

Use the Whisper of the Shards fragment to give you +10 Resilience whenever you shatter a Stasis crystal, and also buff your grenade recharge rate. The Whisper of Rending will increase the damage your primary ammo weapons deal to frozen targets, and the Whisper of Chains is great for reducing the amount of damage you take whenever you are close by frozen targets. This Fragment also reduces your damage when you are close to friendly Stasis crystals.

Exotic Armor, Armor Mods and Best Weapon

The best choice for Stasis is to use Hoarfrost-Z, because it is perfectly suited towards this build. Be sure to make use of Barricade as well so that you can slow nearby targets by creating Stasis crystals. The optimal weapon for a Stasis build is anything containing a Headstone trait, since precision final blows will spawn a Stasis crystal at the spot where you defeated that target. The best armor mods to use with your Stasis build are Taking Charge, which makes you become Charged with Light whenever you pick up Orbs of Power, and the Utility Kickstart mod that gives you class ability energy whenever your class ability is fully used up! Also, don’t forget to try out High-energy Fire, a mod that gives you bonus weapon damage whenever you are Charged with Light, to dish out extra pain on the battlefield! Good luck, Guardian!
