When Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition launched, it received criticism for being filled with bugs and glitches. This resulted in many low review scores and refund requests. The PC version of the game was briefly unplayable due to issues with the Rockstar Games client. To make it up to their customers, Rockstar is giving PC owners of GTA: Definitive Edition a free game.

PC owners of “GTA: Definitive Edition” have until January 5 to claim one of the following games for free:

  • Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition
  • Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition
  • Max Payne 3
  • L.A. Noire
  • Bully Scholarship

Players who don’t want to claim any of these games can claim a shard card in GTA Online or 55 gold bars in Red Dead Online. The offer can be claimed here. This is another attempt by Rockstar at fixing their damaged reputation with their fans. They previously promised to give fans the original PC versions of all three games in the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.

In the midst of the controversy surrounding this game’s launch, people are also wondering when they can expect to see GTA VI or any new game from Rockstar. There hasn’t been any official announcement from the company regarding the game’s development, so fans are just going to have to be patient.
