How to Unlock the Void Fiend in Risk of Rain 2 Survivors of the Void

There are two ways to unlock the Void Fiend in Risk of Rain 2 Survivors of the Void:

  1. Beat the new final boss in the game.
  2. Survive until Wave 50 in the simulacrum

The first method to unlock Void Fiend is by beating the new final boss in the game. Mithrix is still there and part of the game, but this new boss is part of an alternate ending. You’ll need to eliminate the final boss to unlock Void Fiend. The new boss is in the Deep Void, which can be found through a purple portal. These can appear randomly, or inside of a blue portal. However, there’s an easier way to go about things if you’re not all about this method.

The second method to unlock Void Fiend is surviving until Wave 50 in the simulacrum. Wave 50 may sound like a tall order, and it very well might be, but it’s doable if you pick the right survivor. You’ll want to play someone who has lots of mobility. Moving faster is always beneficial, but having good mobility allows you to get items outside of the safe zone and return quicker without being damaged.

In this mode, you’ll notice lots of items spawn outside of the “safe zone,” so to speak. As you very well know, having lots of items will give you a much easier time surviving. Specifically, a Lunar item drops on round five, a green item drops on round ten, and round 20 is when you’ll get to snag a Legendary item. You get to pick one of three white items for the in-between rounds. Someone like Huntress or maybe Loader are good all-around picks for this new mode.
