How to Unlock All Charms in Dead by Daylight Bone Chill

It's not the holidays without a bunch of clutter on the shelf.

It’s pretty much a rule of the holiday season that your shelves need to be absolutely packed with decorative tchotchkes for the entire duration. There’s an entire industry for that, for goodness sake. Even the multidimensional labyrinth of Dead by Daylight isn’t immune to this tradition, with new Charms releasing for the Bone Chill event. Here’s how to unlock all Charms in Dead by Daylight Bone Chill.

Alongside the holiday cosmetics, ugly sweaters, and Killer weapon skins up for grabs during the Bone Chill event, four new festive Charms can be unlocked as well. As usual, these Charms can be clipped onto the back of your Survivor’s belt, or set to hang on your Killer’s sacrificial hooks. It’s not the holidays until every surface ever has at least one festive object on it. It’s a rule.

The primary means of unlocking these Charms is by clearing challenges on the Bone Chill Event Tome. As you clear challenges for Survivors, Killers, or both, you’ll move across the Tome’s nodes. When you’re next to a reward node, you can activate it to receive the reward. Keep in mind that some of these Charms are only unlocked by completing a particular page in the Event Tome, while others can only be unlocked on later pages, requiring you to wait a few days before they activate.

In addition to the Tome, you can also receive Charms by using the Snowmen that have been placed around the Trial maps. Both Survivors and Killers can jump into these Snowmen and walk around in them, and by taking certain actions with them on, you’ll receive a random cosmetic or Charm after the match ends. The actions that get you a random item are:

  • Survivor: Taking a hit from the Killer while in a Snowman
  • Survivor: Escaping the Trial while in a Snowman
  • Killer: Hitting a Snowman with a Survivor inside it

While it’s not guaranteed you’ll get a Charm from this, they’re fairly loose conditions, so you should be able to try for one in just about every match you play.

Try to unlock every Charm you can so you can display them all season! And a little bit after the season’s over, too, because sometimes it takes a little while to work up the motivation to clean up the holiday decorations.
