How to Solve Evermotion Mechanical Painting in Genshin Impact

Art is really obnoxious sometimes.

I love those little knick-knacks that utilize perpetual motion somehow, whether it’s the old drinking bird or a plaque covered in clockwork gears. If you’d like to have something like that in your Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact, you can get it, but first you’ll have to flex that brain. Here’s how to solve the Evermotion Mechanical Painting in Genshin Impact.

How to Solve Evermotion Mechanical Painting in Genshin Impact

The Evermotion Mechanical Painting is a puzzle event added to Genshin Impact in the version 2.8 update. A tinkerer from the Court of Fontaine, Felix Yogue, has developed a nifty new furnishing, but he needs your help to get it properly set up. Felix can be found in Mondstat near the Knights of Favonius HQ.

The Mechanical Painting has six open pegs, as well as six kinds of gear for you to slot in: two small gears, three medium gears, and a large gear. The goal here is to correctly slot each gear into its proper spot so they’re all linked up and able to spin. Besides inserting a gear, you can also choose whether to put it on the upper level or the lower level of a peg if you need it to go under or over another gear.

If you’re having trouble completing the board, there’s a timer at the top-right of the screen counting down. When it hits zero, you can click the button to get a hint on what the painting is supposed to look like. If you don’t feel like waiting, though, look below for the proper configuration:

If you can successfully solve the Evermotion Mechanical Painting, you’ll receive a working one to hang on your house’s wall in your Serenitea Pot. You’ll also get a nice little payout of Mora, Primogems, Character EXP Materials, and Weapon Ascension Materials.
