Which depicts an American football coach overtaking a fictitious English soccer club known as AFC Richmond. Despite the huge popularity of the show, it came as a bit of a shock when EA announced that Lasso and AFC Richmond would be appearing in FIFA 23.

How to Play as Ted Lasso/AFC Richmond in FIFA 23
In FIFA 23, all of the Ted Lasso content will be available after the official release of all versions of the game, which would be September 30, 2022. You can access this content by going to the in-game objectives menu. However, the only way to unlock Ted Lasso himself is by purchasing it from the FIFA 23 Ultimate Team market.

All of the Ted Lasso content in FIFA 23 costs four stars. Here’s a list of all the items you can unlock in FIFA Ultimate Team:

Play as Ted Lasso in Career Mode
If you want to take control of Ted Lasso as the manager of AFC Richmond in FIFA 23 Career Mode. All you need to do is:
- Start a new Career Mode from the main menu of FIFA 23
- Select “Play as Manager” from the following list
- From the list of managers, select Ted Lasso under the “Rest of World” tab
After you’ve chosen Lasso, you can then choose to manage any team in the world. However, if you want the true Ted Lasso experience, you can find AFC Richmond as one of the available options.
Play as a Player on AFC Richmond
Alternatively, you can also play as any of the players on AFC Richmond or create your own to add to the club. To do this, you must;
- Start a new Career Mode from the main menu of FIFA 23
- Select “Create New Player” and customize them to your liking
- Choose AFC Richmond as your team and begin your career.
