Before encountering any enemies within the Return to Castlevania DLC in Dead Cells, players will find themselves face to face with a shallow pool of water with a drawbridge standing up ahead of them. But in order to pass over it in future playthroughs, making traversal a lot easier in this roguelite, players are going to have to take a detour their first time around.

The first thing you’re going to need to do is to jump into the pool and follow the rope at the bottom into a room below. There, you’ll find an enemy, most likely a skeleton who throws bone bombs. Kill it, and then move through the door up to the next room.

From there, you’ll have many an enemy to fight. From skeletons to werewolves, to sea creatures, you’ll have a whole mess of enemies to fight, Luckily, each one is pretty easy to take down. Just be sure to wait for their attacks and dash/dodge, and counter with attacks to kill them. Once you clear the room, make your way through a doorway to another hall.

You’ll then be spat out into another area worth clearing of its enemies. Once you do, move to the huge switch in the ground that resembles a glowing crucifixion. Interact with it and the drawbridge will fall open. Doing this allows you to cross the bridge every time you come into the Return to Castlevania DLC so that you don’t have to replay the rooms you’ve just cleared.
