How to Get Ribboned Key in Dead Cells Return to Castlevania

If there is a cat, I'm there.

As you might have guessed, there are a lot of secrets lurking inside Dracula’s Castle. After all, he is well known for having countless dungeons and prisoners. Feasting on blood is quite a very dangerous and expensive habit, please don’t do it. And with the mysteries and dungeons, a familiar character from the Castlevania series makes her appearance: the young vampire huntress and magic master, Maria Renard. Oh, and her cat Byakko as well. And well, since we want to meet them, here is how to get the Ribboned Key in Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania.

Maria, Byakko, and the Ribboned Key can be found in the first biome of the Return to Castlevania DLC. That is the Castle’s Outskirts. This section is often disregarded as a mere step towards the arguably more important and impressive Dracula’s Castle, but as you can see, houses some great and interesting content. It is divided into three sections: the opening section, the tower section, and the final stretch. It is during the final stretch that you will find Maria.

There are some underground chambers in this section, with one of them having a locked door, requiring the Ribboned Key for it to open. Explore the other underground chambers and you will eventually find Byakko, alongside the Ribboned Key. Be sure to interact with Byakko as soon as he appears. Watch out, though, he is very fast. Once you get him, you will have the Ribboned Key in your hands.

How to Get Maria’s Cat and Outfit

Once you have the Ribboned Key, go ahead and open the door that was locked before. You will then be able to meet her and interact with her, and the cat as well. If you want to get Maria’s outfit, then go ahead and speak with her and completely exhaust all her dialogue. You will gain the Blueprint for the Maria Renard Outfit. Finally, before leaving the room, if you pet Byakko, then he will join your vampire-hunting adventures and will take up one of your secondary item slots. He will wander around you and attack the enemies you encounter. You will also get to summon it back to your shoulder.
