Destiny 2‘s newest campaign, Lightfall, has…fallen! Well, perhaps saying that it’s been dropped is a more accurate term. Anyways, the latest update to Bungie’s FPS smash-hit videogame has now been released, and gamers already cannot get enough of how great it is. With tons of new content and some familiar faces being featured in the campaign, players will enjoy hours of content in this new update. Just make sure to watch out for Calus and his army, because they sure aren’t going to give you any breathing room.
The first mission of Lightfall, which is the First Contact quest, starts you off on a ship that is on its way to Neptune, where you will partner up with Osiris and work to hunt down Calus and save humanity. In this guide we cover how to complete this mission, including a detailed look at the steps you’ll need to take in order to finish it with ease!

How Do You Finish First Contact in Destiny 2 Lightfall?
First Contact starts you off progressing through a ship that you’ll need to get through in order to make it to the next step. Destroy any vents that are blocking your way by shooting them with your weapon to get through. Finish off any enemies that rear their ugly heads as you move towards your first objective.
There will be a few doors that have symbols on them relating to keycards which you won’t have yet at this point in the mission. Ignore these and run up a ramp which will take you to a platform that has a group of enemies including a Keymaster.
The War Beast Keycard
Take down this Keymaster and all accompanying enemies to obtain the War Beast keycard, which will let you open the War Beast doors. Pillars in the zone where you fight the Keymaster can offer you cover, and stay wary of any new enemies as they spawn in. Continue running through the ship until you come across a boss who will guard the next Keymaster’s room.
The Conquest Keycard
Take on Kavauust, Reverent of the Witness in battle and work to quickly defeat this boss so that you can progress with the mission. Behind him will be a large viewing room that contains the Conquest Keymaster and many other Legionnaires and Phalanxes. Wipe out these hostiles and then use the Conquest keycard to open the ship’s core room. You will need to attack the rods on the core to destroy it and continue with your quest.
The Chalice Keycard
This keycard requires a little more effort than the other two in order to be obtained. As you leave the core room and jump ship, travel across the floating asteroids that separate your current ship to the one Osiris is directing you towards. There are some hostiles on these asteroids, and Calus will taunt you a little as you travel. Stay focused and look for the Chalice Keymaster once you reach the second ship by using your waypoint markers for guidance. Defeat the Keymaster, and use the keycard to open the Chalice door.
