How to Complete A Land Entombed in Genshin Impact

A few new world quests are available with the release of Genshin Impact‘s “The Chalk Prince and the Dragon” update. You can pick up one of these quests, entitled “A Land Entombed,” from researcher Stevens at the adventurer’s camp southeast of Springvale. You’ll need to search out a secret chamber to search for some journals. Getting there can be a bit confusing, though, so we threw together a guide to help you out. Here’s how to complete A Land Entombed in Genshin Impact.

First off, if you don’t have this quest, you can pick it up from the adventurer’s camp shown on the map below. There are a few different world quests available here that all lead you to Dragonspine. They’re a good source of Adventurer EXP, Primogems, and Mora.

How to Complete A Land Entombed in Genshin Impact

There are two locations you need to visit, and they are marked on your map. The problem is that there are lots of caves to traverse in Dragonspine, so the markers are challenging to locate. We’ll start with the southernmost waypoint for the quest. Travel to the waypoint directly south of the Statue of the Seven. 

Make your way west across the snowy stone bridges and deeper into the caves. Keep going west, and it will lead you near the marker. You’ll see a glowing blue rock barricade that you can destroy by picking up the Scarlet Quartz to the west.  

Once inside, walk underneath the pillar and make your way to the bookshelves. You may need to switch to a shorter character, as Diluc could not make his way through. Investigate the bookshelves on your right to discover the Ancient Investigation Journal: Part III. There are a few chests in this area that you can loot while you’re here, too.

Next, teleport to the Statue of the Seven and make your way to the cavern underneath. The journal you need is up on your left inside an Exquisite Chest. Open it up to reveal the Ancient Investigation Journal: Part I. You can also activate the cube-shaped pillar to open up the sealed room to obtain a Crimson Agate if you haven’t already.

Now, you can teleport back to the adventurer’s camp to turn in the journals to Stevens. Give the gathered journals to him, and your quest is complete. Upon completion, you’ll receive 400 Adventurer EXP, 50 Primogems, 3 Hero’s Wit, 6 Mystic Enhancement Ore, and 40,000 Mora.
