Magic incantations, forbidden wisdom, or potion recipes immediately spring to mind, but if one of Genshin Impact’s newest weapons is any indication, silly children’s stories are apparently great magic fodder. Here’s how to get Dodoco Tales in Genshin Impact.
Dodoco Tales is a new kind of Catalyst weapon added as part of the 1.6 Midsummer Island Adventure update. It’s a four-star weapon with a base ATK of 41, plus a 12% ATK bonus. Its unique skill is “Dodoventure,” in which Normal Attack hits on opponents raise Charged Attack DMG by 16% for 6 seconds and Charged Attack hits on opponents increase your ATK bonus by 8% for 6s. It’s a lovely little read, but if you want it, you’re gonna have to do a favor for its biggest fan: Klee.
How to get Dodoco Tales in Genshin Impact
Dodoco Tales can only be obtained by exchanging Mini Harpastum earned from completing the Act IV quest of the event, “Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow ‘Em Away!” It’s a pretty simple challenge: just clear out the monster camps within the designated challenge areas.
Completely clearing out the monster camps earns you Midsummer Island Adventure event currency called Mini Harpastum, which can be exchanged for items in the event store. To trade for Dodoco Tales, you’ll need to earn 800 Mini Harpastum. It’s the most expensive item in the store, so don’t be surprised if you have to do some grinding to get enough. Luckily, you’re free to replay the challenge as much as you want for more Mini Harpastum for the duration of the event. Each camp grants around 300 Mini Harpastum, so you’ll have to clear three camps.
