Final Fantasy XIV’s Endwalker expansion is one of the most awaited video game updates of the year, with millions of players worldwide eagerly awaiting its arrival. Players who purchased the pre-order of Endwalker will receive a 20-digit early access code that will make them eligible to start downloading the game. The code should be sent in the email used to purchase the product alongside the receipt of your Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker pre-order purchase. Players who have accidentally deleted the email or lost the code in any way may want to contact Square Enix support in the Mog Station to look for a way to restore the code.

Players who have not purchased the pre-order but want to receive early access codes may still do so by purchasing the pre-order packs until Dec. 7. The Endwalker expansion is expected to be around a 20GB update, so players might want to start downloading as soon as possible. The client allowed players to update the client with the first batch of files a few hours prior. If you’re invested in the story and don’t want to be spoiled but will not play in the early access, you may want to shy away from discussion threads and social media platforms where players will be talking about the game early.

The events of Endwalker will take place directly after the events of Shadowbringers, focusing mainly on the conclusion of the storyline involving the Ascians and Zodiark. As shown in the trailer, the featured class in the series is the Paladin, which will also get a unique mount as part of the pre-order bonus. Players may experience a longer queue time than usual due to an influx of players logging back in. Users who haven’t purchased the Endwalker expansion can continue playing the game until Shadowbringers.
