After months of speculation, EA has finally revealed who the cover athletes will be for each edition of FIFA 23. As well as how much each will cost and what bonuses are included with every edition of the game. For FIFA 23, there is going to be just two different versions of the game in the standard edition and the ultimate edition. However, for the first time in FIFA’s long history, the game will feature both a man and a woman on the cover of the game. With PSG’s premier striker, Kylian Mbappe, making his third straight appearance on the cover, along with Australian national team and Chelsea FC standout, Sam Kerr. There will also be two different versions of the standard edition, one with Mbappe and the other with Kerr.
This is exceptional and groundbreaking news for both women’s sports as well as soccer as a whole. We already knew that more women’s national teams and domestic clubs would be featured in the upcoming title but to have one of the game’s top players right smack dab on the cover is a tremendous feat.
