What are Runewords?
Diablo 2 Resurrected Runewords are recipes you can make by placing specific runes into item sockets in a particular order. The resulting recipe gives the item magical properties and powerful attributes. Runewords first made their way into the Diablo series during the Diablo 2 expansion, Lord of Destruction. They were not a part of Diablo 3, but a rework of the system will be coming to Diablo 4.
How to Make Runewords?
To make Runewords, you will need a gray item with the appropriate number of sockets and the required runes for a given recipe. If you need to create an item with sockets, you can do so by using a specific horadric cube recipe or talking to Larzuk in the Act 5 town. Larzuk gives the maximum sockets to any white or gray item based on its item level, once per difficulty.
Can you Create Runewords with Superior Items?
Yes, you can put runes in superior items to create runewords. Its properties are retained. But superior items cost more gold to repair, so it’s a double-edged sword.
What are the Best Low-Level Runewords?
The best low-level Runewords in Diablo 2 Resurrected are:

Are there Ladder Exclusive Runewords?
As per an official Blizzard announcement, Diablo 2 Resurrected Rune Words are all included in non-ladder play. That means there are no more ladder-exclusives ones!
