We want to address whether any new perks are coming to Black Ops Cold War before going into anything in-depth. The short answer is no; there are no “new” perks. We’ve seen every one of these perks in a previous Call of Duty title in one way or another. Not to take anything away from Cold War, though, because having familiar perks is not a bad thing.

Like in previous titles, expect the ability to select from three different sets of perks. The ones you select will influence your loadout and your gameplay on the field. You may also want to look into Field Upgrades, so you know how to complement your loadouts.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Perks

Here’s all the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War perks:

  • Assassin
  • Cold Blooded
  • Engineer
  • Flak Jacket
  • Ghost
  • Gung-Ho
  • Ninja
  • Paranoia
  • Quartermaster
  • Scavenger
  • Tactical Mask
  • Tracker

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Perk 1: Engineer, Flak Jacket, Paranoia, Tactical Mask

Engineer detects any nearby enemy equipment or scorestreaks through walls. Enemy scorestreaks show up on your mini-map radar, as well.

Flak Jacket causes you to take less damage from any enemy explosives, including grenades and Molotov incendiaries.

Paranoia gives an audio cue of a heartbeat if a nearby enemy is aiming at you.

Tactical Mask makes flashbangs and stun grenades much less effective against you. You are also immune to gas.

Perk 2: Assassin, Quartermaster, Scavenger, Tracker

The Assassin perk makes enemy killstreaks show up as a crosshair on your mini-map and awards you extra points to eliminate them.

Quartermaster recharges your equipment over a twenty-five second period.

Scavenger gives you more ammo from dead players on the battlefield.

Tracker allows you to see the enemy’s footsteps. Aiming at enemies also reveals them on your mini-map to the rest of your team.

Perk 3: Cold Blooded, Ghost, Gung-Ho, Ninja

Cold Blooded perk makes it impossible for AI scorestreaks to find and target you. Other scorestreaks do not highlight you, and you won’t show up in thermal scopes.

Ghost makes you undetectable by UAVs and allows you to remain stealth on the enemy mini-map.

Gung-Ho lets you fire your weapon, reload, and use any equipment while you’re sprinting. Your weapon swap speed also increases, and you take less fall damage.

Those are all twelve Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Perks in the game at the moment, broken out by section. You can select one perk from each section for a total of three. Make sure to choose wisely to try and make the ultimate loadout.
