Every game under the sun these days runs a seasonal content model. Cold War is no exception. We’re already well into Season 2, although it feels like we should be on Season 12 by now, but maybe that’s just me. S2 is coming to a close, though, so that begs the question of when Black Ops Cold War Season 3 starts. Here’s everything you need to know.
Black Ops Cold War Season 3: When Does it Start?
Black Ops Cold War Season 3 starts on April 22, 2021. That’s the official word on when we’re getting the next season of Cold War. That doesn’t leave you with much time left if you’ve been ignoring S2, so get yourself online and grind out the last week or two that you have.
So, what exactly are we getting with Season 3? There’s a lot to unpack, and so far, we know we’re getting a few weapons, a new game mode, and most importantly, a new Warzone map. The impending Nuke event is inching ever closer. In fact, there’s a strong possibility that it’s going to be directly tied to kicking off S3 in some way.Â
A round of leaks has stated that the event will turn the Warzone map into an 80s version of Verdansk. The developers have wanted to sync up the timelines of all their different modes, so this isn’t exactly outside the realm of possibility.
These are unofficial leaks, mind you, so don’t get your hopes up. Still, it would be one hell of a way to kick off Season 3, wouldn’t it?
