  • Blood Rain Bow

The new update added over 800 craftable items to the game, many of which are weapons. That’s a ton of new weapons to sort through, and it can be a lot of information for new players. If we had to pick one best starter weapon in Terraria Journey’s End, it would be the Blood Rain Bow.

This weapon is found by fishing up and killing enemies, specifically the Wandering Eye Fish, during the Blood Moon Event. It is a new ranged pre-hardmode early game weapon that functions just like the Daedalus Stormbow.

Best Starter Weapon in Terraria Journey's End

The Blood Rain Bow has a very low chance to drop from the Wandering Eye Fish, but it’s worth trying to farm because of how powerful it is. Its stats are:

  • Blood Rain Bow
    • 14 Ranges Damage
    • 4% Critical Strike Chance
    • Very Fast Speed
    • Very Weak Knockback
    • Rains Blood from the Sky
    • ‘Reign in Blood’

Firing this weapon turns your arrows into blood arrows, which shoot down vertically, similar to the Daedalus Stormbow. The 14 damage might seem low, but because of this Blood Rain mechanic, it’s much higher. Using this weapon would serve you well in your pre-hardmode loadouts for bosses like Cthulu, Eater of Worlds, and maybe Skeleton.
