Call of Duty players are quickly learning that the QBZ-83 assault rifle is one of the most powerful weapons in Black Ops Cold War. It’s reminiscent of the Type 25 or Type 95 weapons from the previous Call of Duty games. If you’re looking to master this weapon, here’s the best QBZ-83 loadout in Call of Duty Cold War.
Before diving into the loadout guide, we want to preface this post by letting you know we use the Gunfighter wildcard. We find that this is the best wildcard in the game, as it unlocks three additional attachments for your weapon. By using that wildcard, you can equip an attachment in every slot and make some overpowered loadouts.
Best QBZ-83 loadout in Call of Duty Cold War
Here are the best attachments to run on the QBZ-83:
- Optic: Millstop Reflex
- Muzzle: Infantry Compensator
- Barrel: 15.5″ Paratrooper
- Body: SWAT 5mW Laser Sight
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Magazine: 40 Rd Speed Mag
- Handle: Task Force Rear Grip
- Stock: Tactical Stock
Optic
The Millstop Reflex is an excellent choice because of the 1.37x magnification. It looks the cleanest, in my opinion, but optics are more personal preference than other attachments. Use whatever you like in the optic slot.
Muzzle
For the muzzle, we’re going with the Infantry Compensator. The QBZ-83 has a bit of vertical recoil, and this attachment boosts vertical recoil control by 12%. The downside is an 8% hit to horizontal recoil control, but it’s barely noticeable. We’ll make up for that with one of the other attachments down the line.
Barrel
For the barrel, we’re going with the 15.5″ Paratrooper, a hybrid barrel that increases damage range and muzzle velocity. It doubles this weapon’s damage output, making it one of the most critical aspects of this build. You also get a 40% muzzle velocity boost, increasing the speed of your bullets. On the downside is a minor hit to sprinting move speed and aiming move speed.
Body
We’re going with the SWAT 5mW Laser Sight, which is by far the best laser in the game right now. It boosts hip-fire accuracy by 40% so that you can take down enemies at close range or if someone tosses a flashbang in your face. The downside is a minor hit to aiming speed, which is negligible.
Underbarrel
For the QBZ-83’s underbarrel, the Field Agent Grip is crucial for the best QBZ-83 loadout in Cold War. It boosts both vertical and horizontal recoil control by 6% and 20%, respectively. We’re taking another slight mobility hit with this attachment of 10% to Shooting Move Speed. The pros on the underbarrel make up for the downside on the muzzle.
Magazine
Another popular attachment for any weapon is the 40 Rd Speed Mag. It has many bonuses, including magazine size, reload speed, starting ammo, and ammo capacity. Running out of bullets will not be on your list of problems when using this mag.
Handle
The Task Force Rear Grip is our choice for this weapon’s handle. It boosts Aiming Speed by 25%, a stat that got decreased a lot by other attachments. We take a 10% loss on Sprint Out Speed, which is not a big deal when picking an assault rifle loadout.
Stock
Finally, for the stock, we go with the Tactical Stock. This attachment improves movement speeds while aiming down sights. It gives us a 20% boost to Aiming Move Speed, a stat we lost some percentage points in with the muzzle.
