Best Places to Farm Electro Crystals in Genshin Impact

Best Places To Farm Electro Crystals in Genshin Impact

Electro Crystals are a rather common item in Genshin Impact, but they can be hard to find and collect depending on your progress in the game. In this Genshin Impact guide, we’ll help you find some Electro Crystal farm locations and teach you how to break them, too!

Note: These crystals are only used to craft Electro-resistance or Electro DMG-bonus potions. Additionally, once you’ve reached Mondstadt’s Reputation Level 5, you’ll need 50 of them if you want to forge the meal pouch Gadget “NRE (Menu 30).”

Where to Find Electro Crystals in Genshin Impact

The only indication Genshin Impact‘s in-game guide really gives about where to find Electro Crystals is “under mountain cliffs” and “Cape Oath.” To make things easier, we’ve mapped out a few other locations that will help increase your count quicker.

Cape Oath

This is probably one of the most notable places to get Electro Crystals. It should be easy to remember because there are a lot of Electro Slimes, a large gust of wind, and it’s somewhat near the Electro Hypostasis.

Oceanid Boss Entrance

There’s a small cave tucked away behind some foliage that leads up to the Oceanid boss fight (perfect timing, considering the Oceanid-themed event Wishful Drops is currently going on). There is a small indentation in the cliff face on the map that indicates the cave opening (in the image above). This cave alone has 4 electro crystals that respawn every few days.

Stormterror’s Lair

Once you’ve unlocked Stormterror’s Lair, it easily becomes one of the best sources for Electro Crystals. It can be a bit hard to keep your bearings in this place, but because it is a circular area, just keep the tower on one side of you and follow a cliff face. We’ve marked one of the best spots in this area for Electro Crystals in the image above.

Wolvendom

There are some spread out in the area. Follow the cliff faces around and you’ll find a few crystals, each near a group of enemies.

Cuijue Slope

Keep your high ground here and you might spot a group of Electro Crystals like this one.

Luhua Pool

If you’ve been here before, teleport to the domain and take the land bridge across to find the crystals. You might be able to find some more spread out throughout the area as well.

Other Notable Locations

You might only be able to find one crystal in some of these locations, but if you’re in a pinch, double-check these spots!

  • Directly Below the Qingyun Peak State of the Seven.
  • The path leading North to Stormterror’s Lair (on an upper ledge to the right).
  • Falcon Coast (near the middle of the water).
  • Brightcrown Canyon (Beware: Ruin Guard present).
  • Near the Mingyun Village State of the Seven.
Electro Crystals

Gamer Tip: Once you’ve found them, keep your distance from the crystals, as the static charge of the rocks will damage you within a small radius around it. It is also common for the Electro Crystals to attract the attention of electro slimes. If you plan on farming these special crystals, make sure to have at least one pyro character on your team to combat the slimes and collect the crystals.

How to Break Electro Crystals: Overloaded Reactions

The only way to collect Electro Crystals is by creating an Overloaded elemental reaction. It is when the Pyro and Electro elements combine that Overloaded is triggered and a large AoE (Area of Effect) explosion occurs. Having a Pyro character on your team is essential for this!

Theoretically, however, if there is a Pyro source near the Electro Crystals, then you can have some fun with an Anemo character’s Swirl ability to trigger Overloaded. So, if there’s ever a Hilichurl with a flaming club aggressively running towards you and they happen to stumble by an Electro Crystal on the way… Well, we’ll let you figure out what happens next!
