There are many different sets of recipes in New Horizons, and one of the most popular ones is Bamboo. This guide takes a look at the Bamboo set recipes in Animal Crossing New Horizons. How To Get Bamboo
There are a couple different ways to end up getting Bamboo on your island. You can either visit a friend, or have a friend visit you, who has Bamboo on their island already. We understand not everyone has that luxury, so we’ll explain how you can get Bamboo on your island all by yourself.
First, you will need to head over to your Nook Stop and select Redeem Nook Miles. Purchase a Nook Miles Ticket for 2,000 Nook Miles. Now you will most likely need a lot of Tickets unless you get lucky on your first few attempts.
Next, head over to Orville at the Dodo Airlines and book yourself a flight. Talk to Orville and select “I wanna fly” to let him know you want to travel. Use your Nook Miles Tickets here and get ready for takeoff. You have a chance at landing on a particular mystery island filled with Bamboo Trees.
When you get to Bamboo Island, you can dig up Bamboo Shoots from the ground and bring them back to your island to plant. If you eat coconuts on the island, you can also dig up fully grown Bamboo Trees as well. Bamboo Trees take 3 days to fully grow, and once they are grown you can start harvesting them. You will also notice Bamboo Shoots spawn in the ground next to fully grown Bamboo Trees every couple of days.
Using a Flimsy Axe so we don’t break the tree, chop it three times and you will get either Young Spring Bamboo or regular Bamboo. Young Spring Bamboo reportedly only drops during the Spring months.
How to Get Bamboo DIY Recipes
Now that you know how to start farming Bamboo on your island, it’s time to find some recipes. The best way to get DIY recipes is from visiting your villagers each day. You will come across one villager every day who is building something on a workbench. Speaking with this villager makes them give you a DIY recipe, which could end up being a Bamboo DIY recipe.
Another way to get Bamboo DIY recipes is by using your slingshot to shoot down balloons. You can also run up and down your coastline looking for messages in bottles. You have a chance at getting Bamboo DIY recipes this way.
