How to Wish Upon Shooting Stars in Animal Crossing New Horizons
You don’t need anything special in order to start wishing upon stars. During the nighttime in the game, from around 7 or 8 PM all the way through the morning, you have a chance at spotting shooting stars in the sky.
Simply press your control stick up on your Switch controller to check out the night sky. If you hear see one, you can press “A” to wish upon the shooting star. One thing to note is that you should not have anything in your hand while doing this.
One good way to know if there’s going to be meteor showers is by talking to Isabelle every morning. She will give you a weather report, and sometimes say “we’re in for a rare treat tonight: shooting stars!” Villagers on your island may also talk to you about looking forward to a meteor shower.
How to Get Star Fragments in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Reportedly, meteor showers happen on a set time and date for your specific game. That means if you find out a certain date and time for meteor showers, you can time travel to that point over and over again to farm star fragments infinitely. Otherwise, you’ll want to continuously check the skies for shooting stars to check on.
After wishing upon a good amount of shooting stars you will want to wait until your next day. When the next day comes along, star fragments will wash up upon the shore. You will notice a bunch of star fragments scattered along the beach. Head up and down your coastline to look for them.
Entering and exiting buildings may be a good way to respawn star fragments on the shore if you are having some difficulties.
