Are Room of Requirement Talents Worth it in Hogwarts Legacy? Answered

There are some surprisingly strong Talents here.

Are Room of Requirements Talents worth it in Hogwarts Legacy? It depends. With only 35 Talent Points to go around – you need to be careful with how you spend them. When you have so many spell and curse Talents worth grabbing, Talent trees like the Room of Requirement can fall to the side. This begs the question of whether or not its Talents are worth it, at all.

We’re going to outline whether or not we think Room of Requirement Talents are worth it in Hogwarts Legacy. We’ll also highlight three Talents from the tree that, even if most Talents aren’t worth taking, should still be considered for your build.

No, Room of Requirement Talents are not worth it in Hogwarts Legacy. At least, they’re not worth it in general. For the most part, the three plant-related Talents aren’t worth engaging with, as are most of the potion Talents. However, there are two Talents in there that we think are must-gets, as well as one that might be worth your time.

That being said, you can take whatever Talents you want. If you love tossing Venemous Tentaculas around – then by all means take its upgrade Talent. The best Talents in Hogwarts Legacy are the ones that complement your playstyle, regardless of what we think.

Focus Potion Potency

Easily the best Room of Requirement Talent is Focus Potion Potency. You unlock this one at level 22, so you won’t get access to it until the late game. If there’s one Room of Requirement Talent worth taking – it’s this one, regardless of what style of build you’re going for.

Focus Potion Potency increases the power of your Focus Potion. These potions last 15 seconds, and for their duration, you will get massively increased spell cooldowns. With the Potency Talent, the duration of the potion is increased by what seems to be around 20% every time you cast a spell from your spell diamond.

With how quick the cooldown is, you’ll be casting diamond spells constantly – enough to keep this potion active for an entire combat encounter. Even if you don’t care for Hogwarts Legacy potion system – upgraded Focus Potions are still worth using, they’re just that powerful.

Maxima Potion Potency

Maxima Potion Potency is great on any difficulty – but it’s particularly busted on Hard mode. So busted that it’s better than the Focus Potion Talent on that particular difficulty. The Maxima Potion lasts 20 seconds by default, and it increases your spell damage.

When you have the Maxima Potion Potency Talent, not only will it give you an even bigger damage buff, but it’ll make all your attacks break all shields regardless of shield type. It won’t break them for more than a second – but it’s enough time to follow up with a juggle spell like Discendo.

This is great on normal, but enemy shields are notably more difficult to deal with on Hard – increasing the value of the Maxima Potency Potion. You have quite a few Talent Points to spend in Hogwarts Legacy – this is worth one of them.

Edurus Potion Potency

Last and least, we have the Edurus Potion Potency Talent. Whereas the other two Talents are must-gets in our opinion, this one should only be taken if you have a point to spare and particularly like the potion system. Like the Maxima Potion, this also has increased value on higher difficulties.

By default, the Edurus Potion lasts 30 seconds and increases your Defence for its duration. The Potency Talent modifies that to make you invulnerable and deflect projectiles back – basically making you invincible.

Playing a defensive playstyle in Hogwarts Legacy is the default – so you don’t really need much help with it. If you’re struggling, though, this Talent can make all the difference, hence why we’ve included it.
