The fourth season of Stranger Things successfully reignited Upside-Down fever in the TV-viewing public, thanks in no small part to its terrifying new villain, the monstrous Vecna. Vecna, named after a Dungeons & Dragons creature with a similar profile, torments his victims with visions and hallucinations of their guilt and fears before tearing them apart with psychic powers. Such a creature would a perfect Dead by Daylight Killer, and if we’re lucky, we just might get that.
Dead by Daylight May Be Adding Stranger Things Villain as New Killer
Rumors have begun circulating that Behaviour Interactive, developers of Dead by Daylight, may once again be in talks with Netflix to bring Stranger Things content into their game.
For those of you who weren’t around the first time, Dead by Daylight already had a Stranger Things chapter, which featured Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler as Survivors and the Demogorgon as a Killer. However, the Stranger Things license expired in the back half of 2021, forcing Behaviour to delist the bundle from sale.
According to a new rumor picked up by Twitter user DBDLeaks, Netflix has gotten into contact with Behaviour and begun talks to return the Stranger Things license to them. In addition to restoring the bundle’s characters, they would also add Vecna as a new Killer.
DBDLeaks found a potential player model of Vecna, though it was determined to be fanmade. However, they have not fully declared the rumor debunked just yet as, in their words, “Parts of evidence provided supporting this leak is still legit for me.”

For now, take the rumor with a pinch of salt and cross your fingers, because Vecna would make an excellent addition to Dead by Daylight, especially while Stranger Things fever is still running high.
