Genshin Impact update 2.1 takes us through the story of the Raiden Shogun in a new area of Inazuma. While playing through the main storyline quest, you’ll eventually get to a spot where you’ll need to complete some Anti-Raiden Shogun Training. Now, it’s not too difficult, but it’s certainly possible to get stuck on this part. Here’s our guide on completing the Anti-Raiden Shogun Training in Genshin Impact and how to avoid being hit by the finishing move.
The Anti-Raiden Shogun Training in Genshin Impact is pretty simple and will prepare you for your inevitable faceoff against the Raiden Shogun herself. Your objective is to dodge a series of moves and ultimately dodge the finisher entirely. It’s important to memorize these moves to make your life easier later in the story. But for now, focus on avoiding everything possible and worry about telegraphing the attacks later.
You can simply move in a clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation around the area. Stay far away enough from the center so that the Electro nova does not hit you. Save your sprint stamina for when a move is thrown at you. The challenge is forgiving and allows you to take a few hits in case you mess up. All in all, everything is straightforward until you make it to the final part of the challenge: to avoid being hit by the finishing move. The game expects you to figure this part out by yourself, and it’s not too complicated, but it can still take a few tries to figure out.
How to avoid being hit by the finishing move in the Anti-Raiden Shogun Training
The trick to avoid being hit by the finishing move in the Anti-Raiden Shogun training is to destroy one of the electro crystals as quickly as possible. You can use characters like Xiangling, Fischl, Klee, or others to preemptively place your damage dealers in the locations where the crystals spawn. If you manage to destroy one within the time limit, the finishing move will be disabled.
Some quick things to note: you can choose to activate the challenge, and are not required to do the “Final Challenge” to proceed through the quest and speak with Yae Miko. The Final Challenge is just a more difficult version of the Anti-Raiden Shogun Training. If you really want to put your skills to the test, you’re more than welcome to try it out.
