How to go underwater in the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact

To go underwater in the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact, travel to Minacious Isle waypoint, and go east in The Waverider. You will come to a wooden structure floating in the water, and you can glitch underneath one of the logs to force your way underwater. Using a shorter character like Diona, Qiqi, or Klee will make this trick easier.

You will want to be half-submerged, with only your head sticking out of the water. Your objective is to climb sideways on the log while the barrel forces you underwater. If successful, your character will drop under the water and fall into a new world. Be sure to attack so you don’t die from fall damage. This will effectively bring you underneath the Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact and free to explore. If you want to get back up, you can just teleport to a waypoint or climb any of the mountains you come across.

Refer to the video below for an easier to follow walkthrough.

Caution: the next part may contain spoilers, so turn back now if you want to avoid them!

Golden Apple Archipelago Boss: Maguu Kenki

The new world showcases a new boss on the Golden Apple Archipelago known as Maguu Kenki. Only the boss’s arena is visible, and the boss itself will not show up until it is officially unlocked during future acts.

Echoing Conch

There are many more Echoing Conches available in the new zone. Unfortunately, we cannot collect them yet, so we’ll have to wait until future acts unlock before we can do that. Interacting with them does not give you credit toward the Echoing Tales event, but you can approach them and see the tooltip.

Klee’s Wonderland

We can also find Klee’s Wonderland between Broken Isle and Minacious Isle. The area is now visible in the trailer for update 1.6, so this is new content! We haven’t seen a lot of new furniture yet, which will likely mean new Furnishing Blueprints. There’s also a crafting table in this location, along with tons of Jumpty Dumpty.

That’s everything we could find so far, but it’s definitely a neat little trick you can use to explore a brand new unreleased area before it officially goes live. If you’re into exploring like we are, it’s worth checking out!
