There are five total map locations in Cult of the Lamb, which may not seem like a lot, but unlocking every single one of them can seem daunting. If you want to unlock all of the map locations in Cult of the Lamb, then you’re in luck! This is a comprehensive guide on how to go about filling up your world map in Cult of the Lamb.
How to Unlock All Map Locations in Cult of the Lamb
The Lonely Shack
The Lonely Shack is the first map location you’ll be able to unlock in Cult of the Lamb, and it takes almost no effort! All you need to do to unlock the Lonely Shack is meet Ratau while on a crusade in Darkwood. Ratau is one of the first NPCs you meet in the game; he was the original vessel for The One Who Waits, but he is now retired and enjoys playing Knucklebones in his shack. Meeting him in Darkwood will not only unlock his home to you on the map, but it will also unlock the Knucklebones minigame!
Pilgrim’s Passage
Pilgrim’s Passage is one of the most simple yet beneficial locations you can unlock in Cult of the Lamb. To unlock this location, all you need to do is randomly encounter The Fisherman while on a crusade in Darkwood. If you’re an avid crusader, you should have no problems at all with putting Pilgrim’s Passage on your map! The Fisherman is very easily distinguishable from the other NPCs in Cult of the Lamb, he’s literally a fish-man. By encountering The Fisherman in Darkwood, you’ll not only unlock Pilgrim’s Passage, but you’ll also unlock the extremely helpful fishing minigame!
Spore Grotto
Spore Grotto is a very beneficial (and creepy) location in Cult of the Lamb, you’ll definitely want to unlock this one as soon as possible! Thankfully, putting the Spore Grotto on your map isn’t too difficult. Once you’ve unlocked the Anura dungeon, go on a few crusades until you come across a Mushroom Cultist in one of the rooms. The Mushroom Cultist (they look like weird little sentient mushrooms) will mark the Spore Grotto on your map for you once you speak to them. Once you go to the Spore Grotto and talk to Sozo (freaky mushroom cult leader), you’ll be able to unlock the Brainwashing Ritual!
Midas’s Cave
Spore Grotto may be a slightly creepy location in Cult of the Lamb, but Midas’s Cave is downright scary. Midas’s Cave is run by an NPC named, predictably, Midas. Midas, as you may have guessed, has an affinity for gold, and will do anything to get it, including sacrificing his own followers! If you’re a heartless monster of a cult leader in Cult of the Lamb, you can even sacrifice your own followers to Midas (he will turn them into terrifying statues of solid gold) in exchange for a piece of a Talisman. To find this horror house of a location, you’ll need to find the golden sign advertising Midas’s Cave in the Silk Cradle.
Smuggler’s Sanctuary
Smuggler’s Sanctuary is (thankfully) one of the easiest locations to unlock on your map in Cult of the Lamb. To unlock this water-logged location on your map, all you need to do is locate Plimbo in a random encounter in the Anchordeep dungeon. The Anchordeep dungeon is relatively easy, and so is running into Plimbo; Plimbo is a green, four-armed smuggler/sailor that is always ready with a warm greeting! You may not be able to do as much in Smuggler’s Sanctuary as in some of the other locations in Cult of the Lamb, but getting to meet Plimbo makes it all worth it.
