How to Perform Rituals in Cult of the Lamb

Rituals allow you and your cult to call upon the horrifying power of your beneficiary, the One Who Waits, to either solve problems in your community or provide you with some kind of tangible benefit. One of the simplest Rituals, for instance, will allow you to raise the Faith produced by your followers. The more faithful your followers are, the less likely they are to turn against you and dissent.

To perform Rituals, you’ll first need to accumulate Bones. The One Who Waits doesn’t work for free, after all; you gotta give him a material sacrifice. You’ll accrue Bones naturally on your Crusades, specifically the Bones of the enemies you kill. In addition to that, though, you can also sacrifice your own followers and desecrate their bodies for a large payout of Bones. Try not to make a habit of that, though, as your followers are important. Unless they’re dissenting nonbelievers, of course. Then you can do whatever you want with them.

Once you’ve got a sufficient supply of Bones, step into your community’s Temple. Select the Ritual you want to perform, spend the Bones to call up the One Who Waits, and voila, your community is a healthier, happier place.

As you progress through the game, going on Crusades and expanding your community, you’ll unlock more Rituals that protect your followers, enhance your stats, and more. If you’ve got the Bones for it, try new Rituals and see what happens!
