Destiny 2: Braytech Werewolf God Roll Guide (2022)

Not the best Festival of the Lost has to offer - but not the worst, either.

This Destiny 2 Braytech Werewolf god roll sits right in the middle of the potential god rolls that each Festival of the Lost 2022 weapon has. It’s outclassed by Jurassic Green by a country mile, but it’s also a fair bit better than Horror Story. It’s certainly useable in PvE, although you won’t want to take it into a GM, and it doesn’t have any sort of PvP god roll to speak of.

I’m going to break this roll down perk by perk, explaining why I think this is the Braytech Werewolf god roll. It’s designed for PvE – there isn’t really a PvP god roll. So, if you were planning on taking this thing into Trials, you might want to second guess yourself. For any non-Master Destiny 2 PvE content, though, this auto rifle should get the job done.

  • Arrowhead Break.
  • Ricochet Rounds.
  • Subsistence.
  • Swashbuckler.

Starting off, I’m opting for the tried and true combination of Arrowhead Break and Ricochet Rounds. Arrowhead is a top-tier barrel perk on pretty much every weapon in Destiny 2, but it’s far from mandatory for this particular god roll. The same thing goes for Ricochet Rounds. Any of the various ammo perks that increase range, meaning High-Caliber Rounds and Armor-Piercing Rounds, work just as well.

Regardless of what barrel and ammo perks you opt for on your roll, you’ll want to make sure you’re using Subsistence and Swashbuckler. There are a handful of decent Braytech Werewolf god rolls, but this is the best of the bunch by far.

If you know anything about Destiny 2 god rolls, then you know that you can’t go wrong with an ammo economy/damage roll. Subsistence combined with Swashbuckler or Adrenaline Junkie has been an S-tier PvE AD-clear option for seasons at this point – and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

Subsistence is going to return rounds to our mag every time we get a kill, and Swashbuckler will give us a damage buff for every kill we get in rapid succession, up to 33% at five stacks of the perk. Typically, reloading is what causes your Swashbuckler stacks to reset, meaning you need to build your damage buff back up.

However, Braytech Werewolf’s 34-round mag, combined with Subsistence, should be enough to mitigate your need to reload by quite a lot. You should almost always have 5x Swashbuckler up with this god roll, meaning a constant 33% damage buff.

There are better AD-clear options in the META, like Zaouli’s Bane. However, this is one of the better auto rifles right now. You should be prioritizing Jurassic Green during Festival of the Lost 2022. While you’re doing that, though, watch for this Braytech Werewolf god roll. There’s no harm in keeping it if it falls into your lap.
