How to Get All Glow-in-the-Dark Bone Shirts during the Haunted by Daylight Event in Dead by Daylight

Rattle 'em, boys.

I don’t know who the first person was to decide that Halloween skeletons should have glow-in-the-dark bones, but I’d love to shake their hand. It’s an excellent aesthetic for the spooky season, even for those who live in an ageless hellscape. Speaking of which, here’s how to get all glow-in-the-dark bone shirts during the Haunted by Daylight event in Dead by Daylight.

How to Get All Glow-in-the-Dark Bone Shirts during the Haunted by Daylight Event in Dead by Daylight

As part of Dead by Daylight’s Halloween event, Haunted by Daylight, some changes have been made to the Trials to facilitate a new challenge. Success in this challenge will net you some limited-time cosmetic items, including the aforementioned glow-in-the-dark bone shirts for six Survivors, as well as candy-themed weaponry for six Killers.

You’ve probably noticed the large, sparking devices that have been affixed to both Generators and Hooks. Activating these devices by using the thing they’re attached to (repairing Generators, hooking Survivors) rewards you with Void Energy, represented by the meter on the lower-left of the screen. You can also get Void Energy by smashing the glowing pumpkins scattered around the map, though those pumpkins may also inflict you with Haste or Hinder at random.

You can hold up to 15 units of Void Energy at a time. When your Void Energy is full, you’ll be pinged with the location of an Unstable Rift, a little rippling pocket in the air that appears randomly on the map. You can deposit your energy in any rift to progress its objective. If you can deposit 30 units of Void Energy in an Unstable Rift before the end of the Trial, you’ll unlock one of the limited-time cosmetics after it’s over.

That’s the long and short of it, though there are a few catches you should be aware of:

  • Both Survivors and the Killer can steal Void Energy from one another by performing a pallet stun or downing Survivors, respectively.
  • If you’re still holding onto Void Energy at the end of a Trial, it’ll be deposited automatically and count toward your progress, provided you successfully survive. Sacrificed Survivors will lose all accumulated Void Energy, while Survivors that escape and Killers will get to keep any energy they’re holding.
  • The reward you get for completely filling a void is random. It doesn’t matter whether you’re playing as a Survivor or Killer, or which character you’re using. You can get bone shirts for Survivors while playing as a Killer, and you can get candy weapons for Killers while playing as a Survivor. If there’s a particular cosmetic you want, you’ll just have to keep filling Rifts until you get it.

The Unstable Rift is a nifty side objective you can pursue during regular gameplay in the Haunted by Daylight event. Though, if you’re a Killer and see a Survivor depositing their Void Energy, be a good sport and let them finish before you start chasing them. Everyone wants those shirts, after all.
