Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3, brings a flooded map and introduces a new type of way to get items. The Loot Shark is this season’s equivalent of the Loot Llama. Unlike Llamas, however, they will attack you if given a chance. In this guide, we will show you where to find Loot Sharks in Fortnite.
Where to find Loot Sharks in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3
Loot Sharks are found in various bodies of water throughout the Fortnite map. For example, you can find Loot Sharks near Fortilla, a location you need to visit to use a whirlpool for the week one Aquaman Challenge. As a general rule of thumb, you can find Loot Sharks anywhere there’s water.
One spot we like to land that always has a shark is right above The Authority location. You can find a small island with a floating barge with a house on it, and there’s almost always a Loot Shark there. As an added bonus, not many people tend to land at this location. Refer to the image below if you aren’t sure. Another easy way to spot Loot Sharks is to look for Henchmen shooting at them.
Be careful, because loot sharks can jump out of the water and attack you through buildings. Killing Loot Sharks causes them to drop a bunch of loot, similar to the Loot Llama. Loot can include materials, rare weapons, shields, and more.
How to Ride Loot Sharks
Loot Sharks are rideable in Fortnite, but you need to make sure you have a fishing rod. When you find a fishing rod, cast your line into the water near a shark. When he bites, prepare to ride on the water skis that appear at your feet. You can jump and slightly speed boost while attached to the Loot Shark.
That’s everything you need to know about where to find Loot Sharks in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3. Be cautious in the waters, because these guys bite!
