To find a Control Point, all you’ll really have to do is head to one of the several major POIs (points of interest) around the island and locate a large post with a metal ring around its bottom. This is the Control Point. Once at one your goal is to, well, control it. How do you do this? By standing inside of the circle radius that surrounds the Control Point for a duration that’s about a minute or so until you’ve fully taken it over.

You can track your progress with a circle meter that fills up over time. Even if you step out of the circle, the meter will remain at the last place it was when you stepped out. Be wary though, as enemies can come and take it over too, pushing back the progress you’ve made.

Once you’ve successfully taken over a Control Point, you’ll be rewarded with a spring of highly valued loot items such as rarer weapons, health items, and other helpful gear. Aside from that, you’ll also get the ability to see nearby chests and enemies for a short amount of time. It’s a very great new element to gameplay that doesn’t take too much effort but gives great rewards.
