The latest season of Call of Duty: Warzone, Season 4: Mercenaries of Fortune has been quite a wild ride. Quite possibly the most exciting addition to the experience that is Warzone, is the new Resurgence map, Fortune’s Keep. Boasting fantastic POIs, weapons, Easter Eggs, and more, there are so many interesting aspects of what makes it so great. There’s so much to love about it and its hectic gameplay. Let’s break down Fortune’s keep, give some tips, and explain some of its best features.
Best Fortune’s Keep Map Tips, Weapons, Easter Eggs & More
Tips for Warzone
Fortune’s Keep includes some truly intriguing POIs around its humbly-sized map. Because of the formula of this map, in particular, there’s a lot of room for exploration. Exploring the map and becoming familiar with its various cave systems and escape routes is really going to serve you and your team best in lasting til the final curtain of the gas.
Additionally, it’s also good to land at locations that you and your team think have the best loot. I try to stay away from the Town and Overlook on the West as well as the Winery towards the East. These are often really hot drop zones and don’t offer a great amount of loot for the risk. These locations are good to bunker down in towards the end of the game but not the beginning.
The Black Market Supply Run Contracts are truly worth doing as it gives you and your team a chance of knabbing some insanely overpowered weaponry early on in the match. Oppositely, I’d say to avoid the Cash Extractions that happen in-game. The NPC enemies that come with it can be overpowered and these fights cause a lot of ruckus that can draw enemy players in your direction.
My last tip is to keep your team together tightly and to keep moving. This map is small which means that there isn’t a huge area for your team to escape to. There’s always someone just a couple of clicks away. My team and I find it best to always keep moving and to use the cave systems to our advantage, lurking below the chaos.
Best Weapons to Look For
One of the best weapons in the game right now is the Nebula Mini Gun that can be purchased in the Black Market Buy Station. This weapon causes devastating chaos on the battlefield and is amongst the most overpowered weapons in the game, to date. These are great not only for taking out enemies but for suppressive fire as well.
When it comes to the easier to acquire weaponry, the NZ-41 assault rifle, the new Marco-5 SMG, and a good Kar-98 are your best bet. Any combination of these 3 weapons is going to keep your loadout in tip-top shape no matter what kind of battle you’re waging. Having a good loadout for close-to-medium or medium-to-long-range is your best bet.
Warzone Easter Eggs
This new map has a lot of Easter Eggs strewn throughout it but the most entertaining is the Loot Fountain located in the Winery’s courtyard. Giving it some cash will allow it to give up loot and even some perks as well. To do this, all you have to do is drop money from your inventory into the fountain and it shoots an item out.
Quite possibly the most intriguing Easter Egg, however, is the hidden vault that you can open in the Keep. If you collect a bottle from the Church and a surrounding house, you’ll be able to gain access to a vault that’s packed with goodies. This vault is located in the dining hall of the Keep and only needs these two bottles to be placed on a shelf for it to open up.
Don’t Be Afraid to Try More Strategies
A closing piece of information; don’t be afraid to try different strategies with Fortune’s Keep. This is the most versatile map that has been introduced to Warzone and holds so many different avenues for strategic gameplay. It’s almost difficult to nail down exactly what the best formula is for approaching this map. Just embrace it.
Those are the best tips, weapons, Easter Eggs, and more we have for Fortune’s Keep. Who knows, this map could change over time similarly to Rebirth island. This means that maybe in six months or a year from now that this map will be entirely different, offering players even more secrets to uncover.
