If you’ve played any of the previous iterations of the series, the characters in this game should be all too familiar. You will be able to play as Amadeus the Wizard, Zoya the Thief, and Pontius the Knight. While the game can be played with up to 4 players, it is still uncertain who the fourth player would be controlling. What we do know however, is that our heroes won’t be seen in the same light as they have in the previous games.

In this game, the Astral Academy has been taken over by the evil villains, and our once respected and renowned heroes are now shunned. Being branded as evil themselves, our characters are tasked with taking down the Clockwork army and restoring peace to their land. With all of that out of the way, let’s see which platforms Trine 5 will be releasing on.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy – All Platforms and Release Date

Developers Frozenbyte have teamed up with THQ Nordic to bring Trine 5 to as many platforms as possible. Because of the games 2.5D point of view, combined with it’s art-style and gameplay, allow the game to be included on previous gen consoles without having to worry about performance. As of writing this article, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is planned to release sometime in the Summer of 2023 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. While it’s not uncommon for games to shift release dates nowadays, players can hope that isn’t the case for Trine 5. All we can do is wait with anxious jubilation and see if we will be able to return to the world of Trine this summer.
