Should You Encourage Poppy to Investigate Poachers in Hogwarts Legacy?

It's really no big deal.

Should you encourage Poppy to investigate poachers in Hogwarts Legacy? If we were using our common sense, we’d say no. Poppy is a fifth-year school student, she’s no match for hardened criminals. We’re never using our common sense, though – especially if your Hogwarts Legacy fashion choices are any indication to go by.

You’ll meet Poppy Sweeting for the first time during Care of Magical Creatures. Afterward, the two of you go on an adventure that ends with Poppy introducing you to a Hippogriff – Highwing. At this point, the two of you will talk and the topic of poachers will come up.

Poppy will tell you that she’s thinking of looking into what they’re up to. In response to this, you have the option to encourage her or advise her against the idea.

Naturally, a lot of you are probably worried about the idea of sending this fifth-year student running off after a bunch of violent criminals. However, your dialogue response here doesn’t make a difference to the story. The sequence of events that play out in Poppy’s sidequest is the same either way.

Regardless of whether or not you encourage Poppy to investigate poachers is irrelevant – she’ll investigate them either way. If you do tell her that it’s a bad idea, she’ll make a point of showing how little she fears them.

Like most of the side-quest dialogue options in Hogwarts Legacy, these are here purely for flavor. They have no significant impact on gameplay. So, don’t get too hung up on picking the right options. That is unless you’re dealing with Sebastion, then you might want to slow down and think for a second.
