Path of Exile is a free-to-play game in the genre of dark fantasy that was released in 2013. Players are given the option to choose from seven different classes of exiles, all offering a unique experience and different core attribute alignments, being Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. The one class that has all three core attributes is the Scion. In Path of Exile, players roam a procedurally generated landscape inspired by classics such as Diablo and others. In this game, items are randomly generated and have storage capabilities known as “gem sockets”, which hold skill gems. These gems can be attached to sockets of armor, weapons and even some of the types of rings available to the player.
Another type of enhancement available for your exile are anointments. You can use these to provide buffs to your exile by modifying certain items. There are 13 different Oils that can be used in Path of Exile, and up to three of them can be combined at any time to create an anointment. Choosing the Best Anointments for Your PoE Rings
When anointing your rings in Path of Exile, make sure to fully research the advantages you are receiving. Additionally, double check to see if you aren’t passing an opportunity to anoint your rings with a more beneficial enchantment. Without further ado, here are the seven best ring anointments in PoE, listed in random order.
#7: Chilling Tower Damage Anointment
The first ring anointment to make this list is the Chilling Tower anointment, and for good reason. You can create this anointment using two units of Clear Oil. With this enchantment on your side, your Chilling Towers will deal a whopping 25% more damage than before. With this increase, your foes will surely be wary of your might. By increasing your attack power this much, you will be able to take on stronger foes than ever before.
#6: Meteor Tower Burning Ground Anointment
Although this anointment may seem similar to the last one, the Meteor Tower anointment will change the way your Meteor Tower works in the game. This anointment uses a combination of Indigo Oil and Violet Oil. It will now create Burning Ground for 3 seconds on Hit, which will help you to take out your enemies. With this enhancement at your side, no one can stand in your way.

#5: Sentinel Tower Minion Life Buff
Using this anointment, the Minions summoned by your Sentinel Towers will have an increase of 50% added to their Life. You can get this anointment by using Opalescent Oil and Black Oil. With this significant increase to your Minions’ Life, they will survive a lot longer when you need them most.
#4: Fireball Tower Damage Anointment
Another damage anointment! Similar to the Chilling Tower anointment mentioned above, this Fireball Tower anointment will increase your respective Towers’ damage by 25%. To obtain this anointment on one of your rings, use Clear Oil and Amber Oil. You’ll be taking out enemies far tougher than before due to the damage buff! Keep an eye on your combat interactions when you begin using this Fireball Tower damage anointment to see a noticeable improvement.
#3: Shock Nova Tower Buff
This anointment is special in that it gives not one, but two bonuses when you apply it to a ring! Firstly, your Shock Nova Towers will now have an increased area of effect to the tune of 30%, per repeat. Equally as exciting is that your Shock Nova Towers will now repeat an extra 2 times. To get this anointment, you will need to use both Golden Oil and Black Oil on a ring.

#2: Freezebolt Tower Damage Anointment
Boost the damage output of your Freezebolt Towers with this anointment! When you apply Clear Oil and Sepia Oil to a ring in your possession, you will enhance it with this anointment. With the power of the Freezebolt Tower damage anointment on your side, your Freezebolt Towers will deal an additional 25% of damage to enemies. This could be the difference between life or death out there in the world of Wraeclast and Oriath.
#1: Meteor Tower Additional Meteor Buff
The last anointment on our list is one of the most impactful. When applied, the Meteor Tower additional Meteor buff will cause your Meteor Towers to drop an additional Meteor on your foes. By putting Opalescent Oil and Verdant Oil on a ring, you can take advantage of this buff in battle. Now the only challenge is to make sure that you aren’t wiping out your enemies too quickly, or the game will get boring!
