Microsoft has designated Tyler “Ninja” Blevins to be the face of its new streaming platform Mixer. Last week, we announced Ninja leaves Twitch to stream on Mixer exclusively, and now many people are wondering about Ninja’s Mixer streaming schedule.
This past weekend was Ninja’s first Mixer stream, live from Lollapalooza music festival. He pulled in a whopping 85,000 concurrent viewers at the peak of his stream. Ninja has now conformed to a more regular streaming schedule.
According to his Mixer, he will stream every day from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM CT. Times are subject to change at his discretion, but his viewers can expect him to be live from those hours for the most part.
As part of a promotion, fans will be able to subscribe to Ninja for free when they register for a new Mixer account. This promotion is valid up until September 20th, after which subscriptions will cost $5.99 per month.
Ninja first streamed on Mixer on August 2nd after a major announcement of his exclusivity contract. Since he has left Twitch, his old channel has been modified to let his fans know where his stream has gone. Users who visit his page on Twitch will be shown other recommended Fortnite streams to watch.
This has marked the start of the streaming platform wars between Amazon’s Twitch and Microsoft’s Mixer. Mixer allows users to put age ratings on their stream. During his Lollapalloza stream, Ninja rated his stream 16+. His audience, however, definitely has many fans under the age of 16 so that may change in the near future.
