People who play NBA 2K20 know how much time it takes to build a successful MyCareer. With the next-generation consoles Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 right around the corner, lots of players are wondering if the progress is transferable.
Does NBA 2K21 MyCareer Progress Transfer to Xbox Series X and PS5
A user on Twitter reached out to the 2K support team and got some clarification on the matter. The answer will likely disappoint many of you because it’s something that has been an issue for many years.
According to the support representative from 2K, “each console has their own save unique to that particular console and are not interchangeable.” From their response, the community now knows that saves are console specific. Therefore, NBA 2K21 MyCareer progress cannot transfer between consoles.
For many players, this gives little or no incentive to purchase the upcoming NBA 2K21 title on current-gen consoles. Why put all the hard work in when you plan on upgrading to an Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 later this year anyway?
Pre-orders for NBA 2K21 started today, July 2. The game is releasing on Friday, September 4, 2020.
