If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, you have nothing to worry about, because there are no new July bugs in your region. You won’t even have to leave your island for most of these bugs, though you might want to use some Nook Miles for the Palm Tree specific ones.

Twenty-one new bugs are arriving in July for Animal Crossing New Horizons players in the Northern Hemisphere. The number of new bugs coming in July is more than 25% of all bugs in the game! New Ground Bugs in July

The following two bugs are new in July, and you can find them anywhere on the ground. You’ll notice the Earth-boring Dung Beetle is unique as it’s one of the few beetles caught on the ground instead of on trees.

  • Grasshopper: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Earth-boring Dung Bettle: all-day

New Tree Bugs in July

You can find any of the following bugs on trees during July in ACNH. The complete list of new tree bugs for July is:

  • Brown Cicada: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Robust Cicada: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Giant Cicada: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Evening Cicada: 4 am- 8 am, 4 pm – 7 pm
  • Scarab Beetle: 11 pm – 8 am
  • Giant Stag: 11 pm – 8 am
  • Horned Dynastid: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Walking Stick: 4 am – 8 am, 5 pm – 7 pm
  • Cicada Shell: all-day
  • Saw Stag: all-day
  • Miyama Stag: all-day

New Palm Tree Bugs in July

The following eight bugs you can only find on Palm Trees starting in July. 

  • Cyclommatus Stag: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Giraffe Stag: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Horned Atlas: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Horned Hercules: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Golden Stag: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Horned Elephant: 5 pm – 8 am
  • Blue Weevil Beetle: all-day
  • Walking Leaf: all-day
