How to use Matrix Labs in Dyson Sphere Program

How to use Matrix Labs in Dyson Sphere Program (Beginner’s Guide)

In Dyson Sphere Program, Matrix Labs are the hubs connecting the real physical world to the CentreBrain. Supermatrices are the source code for the CenterBrain to maintain the homeworld. Technology and information obtained by CentreBrain analysis are transmitted back to the homeworld to progress your base development. In this guide, we’ll show you how to use Matrix Labs in Dyson Sphere Program.

How to use Matrix Labs in Dyson Sphere Program

To use the Matrix Lab in Dyson Sphere Program, you’ll need to first research how to build one. Open the Technologies Research tab by pressing “T” and select Electromagnetic Matrix. Research requires ten circuit boards and magnetic coils. Once the research is complete, you can create Matrix Labs. To build a Matrix Lab, you will need the following materials:

  • 8 Iron Ingot
  • 4 Glass
  • 4 Circuit Board
  • 4 Magnetic Coil

Matrix Labs can be built on a planet’s surface and also stacked on top of each other. Vertical Matrix Labs supply raw materials on the lower level, and the labs above share those materials automatically. The production output automatically goes back down to the first level. In other words, you can only input and output materials from the bottom Matrix Lab.

Matrix Labs contribute 60 hash/second research speed and only begin researching when sufficient materials are available. Multiple Matrix Labs result in faster research time, and they the same research progress between them.

There are two modes in Matrix Labs: Matrix and Research. Matrix mode allows you to produce matrices, while research mode consumes the supermatrices to research technologies that require them. You may want two stacks of Matrix Labs to start, using one to make the cubes and the other to research. Here’s an example setup:

How to Automate the Production Chain of Matrix Cubes

Each type of Matrix Cube requires many different materials, and you will eventually want to automate the production chain. The first one you can produce is the blue cube or the Electromagnetic Matrix. You will need two nodes to begin automating Electromagnetic Matrix production: Iron Vein and Copper Vein. Once you find the veins, follow these steps:

  1. Build Mining Machines on Copper and Iron Veins
  2. Send the ore to 3 Smelters: Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots, and Magnets
  3. Build 2 Assembly Machines: Circuit Board and Magnetic Coil
  4. Create and place a Matrix Lab
  5. Send the Circuit Boards and Magnetic Coils to the Matrix Lab
  6. Produce Electromagnetic Matrix

The automation process gradually becomes more complicated as you get into more advanced Matrix types. Refer to the chart below, courtesy of /u/Scheballs, for a complete production chain of all Matrix Cubes:

Types of Supermatrices in Dyson Sphere Program

Here are the different types of matrices you can produce from Matrix Labs.

Electromagnetic Matrix (Blue)

To make the Electromagnetic Matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 10 Magnetic Coil
  • 10 Circuit Board

Electromagnetic Matrix is one of the five basic source codes that keep the CentreBrain simulating and is the foundation of scientific and technological research. The Electromagnetic Matrix unlocks the Matrix Lab research facility.

Energy Matrix (Red)

To make the Energy Matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 200 Electromagnetic Matrix

Energy Matrix is one of the five basic source codes that keep the CentreBrain simulating. The emergence of the Energy Matrix has largely promoted the further development of technology. Energy Matrix unlocks more advanced energy technologies.

Information Matrix (Purple)

To make the information matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 800 Electromagnetic Matrix
  • 800 Energy Matrix

Immediate and effective information transmission can greatly optimize the industrial production process. By uploading the Information Matrix to obtain more technologies, it is helpful to improve the automated production line’s information management.

Structure Matrix (Yellow)

To make the Structure Matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 800 Electromagnetic Matrix
  • 800 Energy Matrix

Structure Matrix keeps the CentreBrain simulating and uploading more structure matrices, allowing you to understand the structure of matter more thoroughly.

Gravity Matrix (Green)

To make the Gravity Matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 1600 Electromagnetic Matrix
  • 1600 Energy Matrix
  • 1600 Structure Matrix

Gravity Matrix keeps the CentreBrain simulating and reconciles Quantum Field and General Relativity. It unlocks the Space Warper (advanced) recipe and allows for easier production of the space warper.

Universe Matrix (White)

To make the Universe Matrix, you need the following materials:

  • 2000 Electromagnetic Matrix
  • 2000 Energy Matrix
  • 2000 Structure Matrix
  • 2000 Information Matrix
  • 2000 Gravity Matrix

The Universe Matrix contains everything: matter, energy, and information. It is the ultimate crystallization of the theory of everything, revealing the ultimate mystery of the universe.
